It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out
'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through dA,
Not a troll was stirring, nor Grinch in his sleigh.
Deviations were hung in digital Galleries with care,
In hopes that +Favourites soon would be there.
The n00bs were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Daily Deviations danced in their heads.

Had just settled down to log-off for the night,
When over in the Forums there arose such a clatter,
Fella sprang back online to see what was the matter.
To the browser window he flew like a flash,
Tore open the tabs and refreshed the cache.

There is no cosmic law that states artists must suffer many long years and demeaning day-jobs before a window of opportunity cracks open just enough to hop on through.
Fellow deviant Brian Kesinger is a case in point.
His first “day-job” in 1996—he was hired straight out of his senior year of high school—was drawing Tarzan for Disney.
Brian stayed at Disney and he considers every day there a part of his ongoing education as an artist. He most recently worked on “Wreck It Ralph,” and has become active in the story department, where he

Photoshoot! and planning
Hey dears,
since school has started and I have work as well things are getting busier and busier again, BUT that doesn't mean I will let cosplay slip this time! Actually, I think I'm going to become more and more active. Maybe not always for everyone to see but there are great things coming up.
First of all, we have a photoshoot Friday!
It has been soooo long since I had a good photoshoot that I'm full of ideas and possibilities. Raven and Semrie will join me in an old mine in Belgium. It's a perfect location for an Avengers shoot.
I will bring Thor, Loki and Natasha. Semrie, Loki and Raven Natasha and Demyx. This promises so many great

Abunaicon and Partyvengers
Hello dears,
a late but whatever Abunai kind of review thing. I had a blast, especially on Saturday. Friday it was mostly getting there, setting with all our stuff and props, meeting up with people and so on.
We, the Partyvengers, competed in the Cosplay Act Competition with our Sims!Avengers act and we won 2nd place! I'm really proud and happy, also for Sugoicos who won. Here is the link to the video of our act. It's crappily filmed but we are still waiting for the official video made by Abunai itself that hopefully shows the whole screen:
The rest of the day I pratically derped around as Thor and visited some panels. As for the evening a

HELLO DEAR FRIENDS AND WATCHERS!

I'm currently taking time off DA. But I came back to say, I kinda just don't wanna come back anymore. So, neither the end of this week or next, this account will be closed. And the admin will be else where. If anyone wants this account, just message me or something. xD

** EDIT July 29th: First it's my deviations, now it's my profile page. It just won't display properly anymore. Both my computers show it the same way with a big effin grey box. I'm not surprised if you guys see that too. If you DON'T however, please tell me! :o
Whenever I freaking want to get back on this website, it gives me a problem to take to the help desk. Now I gotta go to work. OTL
Sorry for ranting. Bye.***
It is confirmed that I am going to Otakon. ~excitedplz (https://www.deviantart.com/excitedplz)

An Aereoscopic Adventure!
The Pitch:
i have always been a huge fan of art books. in fact i would say that 99 percent of my bookshelves are filled with art books ranging from animation to fashion design and everything visual in between. it was partly why i am so excited to have produced my own book, Walking Your Octopus. one of my goals with this project was to create an art book that was also an art object and this vision guided every aspect of the book's production. as we all know ebooks are becoming more and more popular and i struggled with how my book which was a celebration of all things analog might fit into the digital space. fortunately my very creative frien
